East London is a diverse, multifaceted place. Nowhere this is more evident than in its public outdoor spaces. Shot across various courts and skateparks in the borough of Hackney, this project documents the characters that come together in these venues. It shows how they span across ages, ethnicities, and social class, but they have a passion in common. The subjects are just asked to pose for a portrait, exactly as they are looking in the moment. The result is a series of unfiltered, sunny portraits that capture the essence of being together outdoors on a warm day.
