On my first trip to India in 2001, the only camera I took with me ( purposely?) was my newly acquired LOMO LC-A, a rudimentary Russian cam that offers no technical options but to click. Closest I had been to helplessness; notwithstanding, for better or for worse, it did record this impalpable sens of beyond, of untypical that no one can really understand unless they are there, in front of it, beyond the Indian cliché, in the reality that inspired it, in the train that takes you from Mumbai (ex Bombay) to Agra and the magical worlds beyond.
