When our family's cottage was sold, my sister and I were devastated as it had played a huge role in our lives. To help us close off that chapter, I made a series of cinematic still life images to recreate memories of the summers we spent there. Using sets that I built to mimic the inside and outside, along with 110 film in a mini 1970's SLR, I photographed the memorabilia we kept from the cottage. Working on this book, I felt as though I had been given a chance to spend just a bit more time there,to say goodbye in my own way. Time spent at a cottage is a gift. Please enjoy your stay.
