Life for locals in Pan de AzĂșcar, a national park in the vastly unvisited northern third region of Chile, although sometimes complicated and always toughly solitary, has not been the same after the Covid-19 pandemic. During the winter, the park's desert beaches showcase a peaceful oasis for its marine inhabitants, but an economic struggle for its human residents, who rely on a few boat trips and handcrafts to endure the almost permanent low season.
