The idea for this project was born in 2018 while I was working as a medical doctor in a residential home for adults with varied disabilities in Pavia, Italy. I started to photographically document my patients throughout their daily lives in 2020. With this photographic work I want to bring the lives of these individuals outside of the walls of the residence; My aim was to collaboratively photograph their stories in order to leave a visual documentation of their lives and respectful existence.
