A terrible gateway is finally Held, and all that life lived out Of dread, death and lying, held. The gossamer that keeps it free From my skin, much burdened Until it is valved top and bottom And this dreadful steam vented. I have a porthole to view you And these dark snakes and worms That turn with such force; It shudders the living, not knowing How or why or where from. Goodbye family distempers Goodbye dread liars, and with So much blood consumed at alter And tabernacle; to my left held With all good grace, and so it is. And I step on a little lighter.
