A large city is always moving. People, traffic, even the buildings seem to be always bustling. Using a pinhole camera is a good way to slow down and appreciate the beauty that is all around. The process itself is calming, and it captures the calmness in busy moments, flurried feelings, and even in the hurried movement of clouds. Shooting in Rotterdam with a very basic wooden box pinhole camera, produced these wonderfully surreal images slowing the hustle of the town to its underlying calm. I hope to inspire viewers to see the world around them a bit slower and discover the beauty in nuances.
