In Berlin, flats are being bought, refurbished and sold on as investment properties. Large profits are to be expected. Rents are rising and the tenant structure of entire neighbourhoods is changing. Noise and dirt regularly permeate our daily lives. Tenants with long-term contracts have become a disruptive factor. My children are growing up with the feeling that their home is not safe.
