"A Final Cord" is a self-bound photobook project. It is a love note to myself, to my motherhood, and to motherhood in general. It delves into the complex emotions of motherhood - the simultaneous experience of heartbreak and joy, of exhaustion and strength, of acceptance and letting go. The photographic documentation of my fourth and final postpartum period, while accompanying an almost teenage boy at the same time, serves as an ode to and expression of all those maternal feelings and stages.
