This series is meant to provoke and confuse the viewer with its abstract images that mirror the human form & yet are decidedly not human—the images are inspired by the idea of the uncanny valley & the unseen internal worlds that we each possess. The series plays w/the idea of what is the “ghost” & what is the “shell”—where does our physical self begin, where does it end—& how does our soul factor into our existence. In some ways it asks who is “awake” & seeing past the vail into the void where we are our most pure selves free of all the false narratives & uncertainty of modern life.
