I'm always drawn to aspects of a subject rather than a subject as a whole. This photo is a great example of that, the whole look of the person was eye-catching but I decided to focus in on the Roller Skates. Focus is important to my images, I always try to have something the viewer can focus on, even the busiest of my frames have a clear focal point. The background also really makes the images for me. I was so focused on getting the skates that I completely missed the decoration on the pavement below. It wasn't until the developing that I realised. One of the joys of analogue photography.
