A series captured around Fick's Pool, Hermanus, South Africa. Children from lower socio-economic neighbourhoods have been playing in this tidal pool for generations, now located in the heart of one of South Africa's most affluent suburbs. In innocent play, children are free from the broader social complexities and economic realities. Here especially so, considering South Africa's political history. The boundaries of social strata are erased harmoniously, albeit temporarily, as local youth, wealthy residents and international tourists play across "the fence". Pentax ME Super, Fujifilm 200.
