The word oasis comes from latin meaning fertile place. Therefore, the living condition of an oasis depends on an immediate proximity to a water source. From my archive of travel photographs, I made a small collection that shows plant life in barren forms of habitat in Morocco. Here are man-made oases reflecting our everlasting longing for a green and lush garden. Places where palm trees stretch towards the sun and stand as symbols of peace and tranquility, together with both flowering meadows that require daily splashes of water and cacti that have adapted to the harsh surroundings.
