Planet Or Plastic

I spent a long time experimenting with different materials - the underlying question was why we consider some materials to be valuable and precious and others not. I was particularly interested in the ambivalence of plastic: it is an extremely valuable material, a great achievement, especially in the field of medicine, for example. Useful and aesthetic. At the same time, it's a cheap, disposable item that we don't see any value in. Every plastic that has ever been made is still around today. The photo was taken with a Kiev 60 camera and Kodak Portra 400 film.
